Video: Common blood pressure drug reverses diabetes in mice

New research conducted at UAB has shown that the common blood pressure drug verapamil completely reverses diabetes in animal models. Now, thanks to a three-year, $2.1 million grant from the JDRF, UAB researchers will begin conducting a potentially groundbreaking clinical trial in 2015 to see if it can do the same in humans.

Update 2018: Note this please: Losing just 1 gram of fat from the pancreas can reverse type 2 diabetes! Most doctors do not know this, but it is confirmed by research. In my view the news is not going to get out because diabetes is big business. I have a friend who had his leg amputated and then died from this disease. It is very frustrating that people believe their specialist doctors who tell them it is an incurable progressive disease. You don’t need Verapamil, either, you just have to lose weight in that particular hard to get to place in your body. General daily excercise, briskly walking 30 to 45 minutes a day will go a long way toward that goal. Sprints will get you there even faster. Don’t give up on life.

Don’t believe me, check the science.
