Texas Police Say Man Used Drive-thru To Rob Bank

By | March 17, 2009

A bank robber in South Texas held up the place from the comfort of his car. Police said a man used the drive-thru lane Monday morning to rob Lone Star National Bank. Police said the driver slipped a note to a female teller, who provided an undetermined amount of cash, then he drove away. Lt. Guadalupe Salinas said the man was alone in the car and did not appear to display a weapon. Salinas told The Associated Press there’s no indication that the robbery was an inside job. Law officers declined to release the contents of the note. Police are reviewing bank surveillance video. The FBI declined comment. via Texas Police Say Man Used Drive-thru To Rob Bank – CBS News.

I’m sorry sir, the robbery service is not available at drive-through. You will have to see the teller inside.  First, we need to confirm that you have a gun. When you get inside, just hand your gun to the guard so he can inspect it to make sure it is real and in working order.  Then, you can just step up to any window and state the amount of cash you are here to steal. Thank you. Oh, he will need to inspect the bullets too, so go ahead and take them out now and hand those to him as well. I know, I know. It’s a real hassle, but there are so many fake robber these days, we have to check everything.

Really!?! The drive-thru, I wonder what kind of threat he made for them to give him the cash. This is what you call the recession lotto. Are you going to be the one today to be so desperate you rob a bank?
