Best Healthiest Toothpaste

By | October 10, 2012

After a disastrous time when I had ten cavities, I did some research, wrote an article and healed my own teeth. In the process, I got something most people will never get, a dental rejection letter. My dentist dropped me as a client, which was scary at the time, but I’ve been fine.

I’ve been cavity free for years and I continue to search for the best tools to stay that way. With all the research I’ve done on teeth, many people ask me what toothpaste I use.

The best magic ingredient I’ve found so far is NovaMin which is Calcium sodium phosphosilicate. I have other blog entries about it but this is the most up to date recommendation:

Burt’s Bees Natural Toothpaste without Fluoride is my current choice for the best healing of teeth with the least amount of irritants or potentially cancer causing sweeteners.

Ingredients: glycerin, hydrated silica, xylitol, calcium sodium phosphosilicate, sodium cocoyl glutamate, titanium dioxide, vaccinium macrocarpon (cranberry) fruit powder, aloe barbadensis leaf powder, stevia rebaudiana extract, chondrus crispus
(carrageenan), silica, flavor*, xanthan gum, lecithin, maltodextrin,
*natural flavor

Calcium sodium phosphosilicate NovaMin delivers silica and ionic calcium, phosphorus, and sodium, which are necessary for bone and tooth mineralization.

And, of course, I also use Tea-tree oil mouthwash (right). Tea tree oil kills s. mutans, the bacteria that eats sugar and creates the acid that makes holes in your teeth.

    Thank you Xeno!!
I recently moved to the flouride capital of Canada(Alberta) and have been scratching my head as to how to remove flouride from my life.
It is the number one ignored major day to day health concern.
People just dont appreciate how bad flouride will mess up your body and brain.
Very useful, thanks for the info
